Hourly Rate vs Flat Rate

In the blog this week I would like to discuss hourly rate vs flat rate cleaning. This is something that the industry seems to be torn on, as well as many of our customers here at Park West. The reality is what we sell here is your time back to you. That’s why you hire a cleaning service. Home cleaning isn’t brain surgery, and no one is claiming it is. We sell you your time back to you so you do not have to get on your hands and knees to scrub toilets.

While we certainly do sell you your time back to you, what we also sell is a finished product. Each home, apartment, or condominium is different. Each residence has different levels of dirtiness and their own specific needs. The finished product is a perfectly clean home, a cleaning that elicits that “Ahaa Feeling” that we discuss so much.

At Park West, we pride ourselves on delivering that “Ahaa” every single time, it’s why we HAVE to be a flat rate priced company. Could you imagine, taking time out of your day to have a crew come in and clean for two hours, only to come back and find out that “there wasn’t time to sweep, vacuum, and mop the floors’” ? You would be livid, who wouldn’t.  Not delivering a finished product is not something we at Park West are interested in doing, so we wont and we don’t!

Another reason we prefer flat rate vs hourly rate, is it allows you, our valued customer, to quickly and easily get an exact quote in under a minute for your home and specific needs. There is no calling to walk through square footage, number of bedrooms, asking you to guess how dirty your home is, etc. With Park West cleaning, you do not have to call to have a rep come out and provide you with a quote. Our process and solution are fast, easy, and booked. It really is as simple as that.

Hiring professional cleaners who will offer you a flat rate is the best way to ensure that your cleaning is completed, easy, fast, and secure while still delivering you the finished product that you paid for. Booking any other way is just wasting your time and hard earned money.

Thank you again for reading, as always please reach out to with any questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you again and join us next week for a discussion on cleaning up to spec!
